Health Warning
Photosensitive Seizures
A very small percentage of people may experience a seizure when exposed to certain visual images, including flashing lights, rapid image changes or patterns that may appear in video games. Even people with no history of seizures or epilepsy may have an undiagnosed condition that can cause these "photosensitive epileptic seizures".
If you or anyone in your family has a history of epilepsy or seizures, consult a doctor before playing.
Stop playing immediately and consult a doctor if you experience dizziness, altered vision, eye or muscle twitching, loss of awareness, disorientation, involuntary movements or convulsions.
To reduce risk
- Play in a well-lit room.
- Sit at a reasonable distance from the screen.
- Do not play when drowsy or fatigued.
- Take a 10–15 minute break every hour.
