Behind the gates

We make the games we want to play.

Nine Gates Studio is a one-person independent game studio from Istanbul. Drawing on history, myth and forgotten civilisations, we create worlds that reward thought, exploration and mastery. Countless worlds. One threshold.

The nine in our name is a sign of multitude, as in stories. Countless doors to other worlds pass through this threshold. From card battles in history’s shadow to the considered moves of Nine Men’s Morris and Zanore’s unfamiliar world, each game has its own identity.
